Lot Essay

With Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming production of the present watch in 1965 and its subsequent sale on June 28th of the same year. The extract does not confirm the present black dial however the dial could possibly have been replaced by Patek Philippe at the request of the original owner after the original sale.
To the best of our knowledge the present watch has never before been offered in public.

A similar model is illustrated in Patek Philippe Wristwatches, by O. Patrizzi, Volume 2, p. 232, pl. 959.
