With Patek Philippe Certificate of Origin dated November 1994, instruction manual, product literature, leather envelope, fitted presentation box and outer packaging. Furthermore delivered with Extract from the Archives confirming production of the present watch with silvery opaline dial and 9 Breguet hour markers in white gold in 1994 and its subsequent sale on 25 November 1994.
The present example impresses by its excellent, close to mint overall condition, still retaining the original protective sticker to the case back.
Thanks to its generous proportions, reference 5020 is easily distinguishable from other Patek Philippe wristwatches and takes a unique position in the production of perpetual calendar chronographs. Adding to its rarity, the case of this present lot was made by the renowned case maker Jean-Pierre Hagmann, whose mark, JHP, is stamped on the inside of the case back.
Reference 5020 was in production from 1994 to 2002, available in yellow, pink and white gold such as the present example, as well as in platinum.
The model is illustrated in Patek Philippe Wristwatches by Martin Huber & Alan Banbery, second edition, p. 309.
