'Ma démarche est contemplative. L'idée forte consiste à représenter un personnage qui porte un regard décalé sur le monde' (in Paris Art.com, 2004). C'est ainsi que produisant un art à la limite de l'absurde, Philippe Ramette cherche à 'rationaliser l'irrationnel'. Dans cette oeuvre phare, l'artiste se représente-sans trucage-accroché à un balcon en lévitation à l'horizontale. La photographie est ensuite présentée en rétablissant la verticalité.
