Lot Essay

Ghezzi was himself a lay Oratorian. He was a friend of almost all the Oratorians of the Church of Santa Maria in Vallicella, and made portraits of them now in the Vatican Collection. He frequently visited the Vallicella after moving to the Via Giulia nearby
