AN INSCRIBED FAMILLE ROSE RECTANGULAR VASE
QIANLONG PERIOD OR LATER
The flattened rectangular vase is delicately decorated in famille rose on each wide vertical side with an idyllic riverscape scene, while the narrow vertical sides are inscribed in black enamel with an imperial poem on tea composed by the Qianlong Emperor, followed by two iron-red seals reading Qianlong, all below a gilt mouth rim.
