The steel barque Earl Cadogan was built on the Clyde by Russell's at Port Glasgow in 1892. Registered in London at 1,434 tons gross (1,334 net), she measured 237 feet in length with a 36 foot beam and had a successful career in British registry until 1910 when her then owners, Henderson, Tucker & Co., sold her to the Norwegian O.T. Tonnevold. Renamed Bolgen and re-registered in Grimstad, she continued trading until 1925 when she was broken up.
