Provenance: Charles Edward Stevens (inscription on front endpaper dated 7 December, 1872) -- armorial crest on half-title -- H.A. Cohen (sold Phillips, London, 26 January 1995, lot 587).
Third edition. Binding variants are also known in green and brown limp cloth. Allen 34; Padwick 377.
