Cal. 72C mechanical movement, 17 jewels, silvered dial, applied square and dagger numerals, luminous accents, luminous hands, outer calibrated date ring with blue Arabic numerals, central arrow date hand, apertures for day and month, three subsidiary engine-turned dials for 30 minutes and 12 hours registers, constant seconds, tonneau-shaped water-resistant-type case, two round chronograph buttons in the band, screw down crown and screw back, stainless steel Rolex Jubilee bracelet and deployant clasp, case, dial and movement signed

Lot Essay

The Reference 6236 was the final version of the celebrated "Dato-Compax" model. In production between 1958 and 1962, it is easily identifiable by the larger bezel compared to its predecessors. It is characterized by a three body case.
