With Rolex fitted presentation box stamped Ermanno Bergamo Padova.

Reference 3834 was launched in the early 1940s, using the famous small size Valjoux calibre 69 chronograph movement. One of the rarest gems in Rolex's celebrated chronograph family, well-preserved and unmolested examples of this niche model are exceedingly rare. As a matter of fact, illustrations of reference 3834 in literature are particularly scarce. Furthermore according to our research, less than ten examples of this model were offered at public auction over the last decade.

For one example of this model in literature see I Cronografi Rolex - La Leggenda, Pucci Papaleo Editore, pp. 138 & 139.
