Lot Essay

This monolitic sign stood at one end of the Promenade set and was supposedly a directory of all the shops on the Promenade. The listings were printed in English, Klingon, Ferengi, Vulcan, and Bajoran. The directory, designed by Doug Drexler, Denise Okuda, and Mike Okuda, listed a number of strange shops never actually seen on the show. These included Spacely Sprockets, Pancho's Happy Bottom Riding Club, the Diet Smith Corporation, the Forbin Project, Sirius Cybernetics, Milliways, Yoyodyne Propulsion Systems, and The Banzai Institute .
