Gouache heightened with gold on paper, Maharaja Ranjit Singh wearing brightly coloured robes sits before a courtier on a carpeted terrace, behind each figure stands an attendant with a fly-whisk, within gold floral-illuminated blue borders on pink margins, identification inscription in takri in the upper margin, verso with further takri inscription and date in black ink
