(Tears in first and last leaves expertly repaired, spotting.) Modern polished calf, single gilt fillet border, gilt edges.

FIRST AND ONLY EDITION of this collection of letters and addresses. Three of the letters and the Regola utile a tutti religiosi had previously been printed (Giovannozzi 66, 69, 72, 241), but other works were only recently delivered, the last date specified being Assumption, 1497. The first two woodcuts, of a friar kneeling in prayer before an altar and of the crucifixion, had appeared in earlier books printed by di Libri, but the final cut of a devotional ladder ascending the cross probably appears here for the first time. BMC VI, 651 (IA. 27345); Giovannozzi 74; HCR 14451; IGI 8708; Sander 6778; Goff S-196.
