Represented frontal, full-length, standing on a platform, displaying the Gospelbook and the model of a Church, dressed in opulent Episcopal vestments, flanked by the half figures of Christ and the Mother of God, both in circular, radiating glories, the lower part showing two incidents from the saint's infancy: to the left his birth against elegant buildings, opposite his Christening alongside a Church, rendered finely, with great precision to decorative details, most notably to the golden roundels with crosses on the phellonion and the foliage on the omophorion, the background painted gold, the silver-gilt oklad with a cut-out radiating halo, the border chased with recurring leaf patterns
