Lot Essay

This collection of components originally came from the same source as the stormtrooper components sold through these rooms on 23rd November, 2011. According to the original owner, he acquired the collection of stormtrooper costume parts, along with other pieces of Star Wars related uniforms in 1994, from a fellow member of an amateur dramatics society. The gentleman, who worked as a pyro-technician on various productions at Elstree Studios, confirmed that he acquired them from a friend who worked on the Star Wars films. The original owner and a friend sorted the collection of components into three 'suits,' keeping the most complete 'suit' for himself. These components form the third, least complete suit and were gifted to the vendor in 1994.
