We are grateful to Dr. Dieter Koepplin (private communication, 25 October 2002) and to Dr. Werner Schade (private communication, 29 October 2002) for confirming the attribution to a member of the studio of Lucas Cranach the Elder, from transparencies. Dr. Schade suggests a date of execution of circa 1513.
