The vendor, Andrew Fyall, was based in New York as the Foreign Correspondent for the Daily Express newspaper when the Beatles first visited America in February, 1964. At the time, he was to ghost-write a column for George Harrison and cover the Beatles' visit to the U.S. These autographs were obtained for him by photographer Harry Benson when the Beatles were flying back to England from New York. The "Debbie" mentioned in the dedication by Ringo Starr was Andrew Fyall's daughter - the little girl photographed on the John Lennon's shoulders in Times Square, New York, the day before the Beatles' appearance on the Ed Sullivan Show.
