The recording session was held only 18 days after Ringo Starr had joined the band as the Beatles new drummer. In the photographs Dezo Hoffmann had the task of averting attention from George's black eye, which had occured as a reult of a fight in Liverpool with disgruntled fans of Rory Storm and the Hurricanes, who objected to Ringo being poached by the Beatles.
