A mokko iron tsuba with the immortal Gama Sennin, inlaid in copper and alloys with gold in high relief, signed Hamano Noriyuki, 19th century, 8.2cm.; a copper alloy tsuba with Fujin and Raijin, in high relief with iroe zogan inlay, the reverse with travellers with umbrellas suffering under the winds caused by the deities, signed Suzuki Iemitsu saku, 19th century, 9.6cm.; a shibuichi migakiji tsuba with fish and water-weeds in high relief iroe zogan inlay, the reverse with a coastal scene in katakiri, signed Toshimasa, 19th century, 10.4cm. The first tsuba: There were several makers who assumed the name Noriyuki after the 17th century master Hamano (Shozui), and this piece appears to be by one of the later 19th century specialists in export ware.
