Lot Essay

The lantern has been professionally adapted from a biunnial, and used for several years as a working showman's lantern. The top section is constructed from mahogany, with lacquered brass fittings to match the original lower section, and can be unscrewed and removed allowing the lantern to be used as a biunnial.
