For the arms of the first see Antoine Lebel, Armoiries françaises et suisses sur la porcelain de Chine au XVIIIe siècle, 2009, p. 318 where the author explains that this service was made for Christophe de Beaumont du Repaire, Archbishop of Paris. We are also grateful to M. Lebel for assistance in identifying the arms of the second salt. He explains that the service would have been ordered by a French member of the family, which is a branch of the famous Sforza family of the Renaissance.
