TWO OTTOMAN EMBROIDERED PURSES, A TORTOISESHELL BOX, AND A PORTRAIT DATED 1851
The purses velvet with metal thread, one with seed pearls, the other containing an ivory comb; the box with painted miniature of battle scene to lid; the portrait in an oval enamel frame and signed EI Grandchamps, reputed to have been made for the brother of Abdulmecid of whom the portrait is said to be a likeness - largest purse 6in (15cm) diameter (4)
