TWO PAIRS OF GREEK GOLD EARRINGS
CIRCA 3RD CENTURY B.C.-1ST CENTURY A.D.
Including a pair of crescentic earrings, the gold wire hoop hung with a leech-shaped pendant decorated with filigree spirals and granulation lozenges; another pair similar with filigree rosettes and granulation lozenges, both circa 3rd-2nd Century B.C., 1 in. (2.6 cm.) long max.; together with a Roman gold earring in the form of a cockerel, with head-comb, a single twisted wire suspended from the beak, probably representing a worm, circa 1st Century B.C.-1st Century A.D., 1 in. (2.6 cm.) long. (5)
