Imari type, the first set of five with a moulded design of chrysanthemum sprays and textile bands, painted in polychrome enamels and gilt over a clear glaze and in underglaze-blue, the underside decorated in underglaze-blue with foliate scroll and concentric narrow bands on the foot, six character mark in underglaze-blue kigyokuhotei no chin; the other set of five decorated with a pair of long-tailed birds perched on blossoming plants painted in red and gilt over a clear glaze and in underglaze-blue, surrounded by a moulded diaper band, the flattened, extended lip with a broad band of underglaze-blue and gilt rings, the underside painted with florets and concentric narrow rings around the foot in underglaze-blue
