TWO SMALL GILT-BRONZE FIGURES OF SEATED BUDDHAS
MING DYNASTY, 16TH-17TH CENTURY
Each shown seated in dhyanasana and with the left hand held above the lap, one with the right hand held in bhumisparsa mudra and the other with the right hand held in varada mudra, both similarly dressed in robes open at the chest revealing an incised wan emblem above the sash-tied dhoti, the borders of their robes finely incised with floral scroll
