TWO WHITE JADE PENDANT PLAQUES
18TH/19TH CENTURY
One of shaped rectangular form is carved on one side with a seated bixie, its head turned and vapor issuing from its jaws, and on the reverse with an inscription, bixie yingrui leshengping (expel evil spirits to welcome auspiciousness, happiness and peace). The other plaque has a shaped outline and is carved on one side with a dragonfly flying above a lotus plant, and on the reverse with a four-character seal, haiyan heqing (calm seas and clear rivers). The stone of each is semi-translucent.
