TWO ZUNI POLYCHROME JARS
Late 19th Century
The first painted with brown-red and brownish black in two registers of geometric devices filled with diagonal hatching on a cream slipped ground, the neck has panels with scalloped designs and interlocking hooks, the lip painted with a thin band of black with puki on bottom; the second cream slipped jar has two registers of geometric and linear desgins in brown-red and brownish-black divided by two narrow bands and a wide band of red at the bottom, above puki.
