The Jürgensen's were a famous dynastie of Danish watchmakers, starting with Jürgen Jürgensen around 1759 in Copenhagen.

Both his son Urban (1776-1830) and Urban's son Jules were renowned watchmakers, active not only in their native Danmark but also in Switzerland.

In 1981, Peter Baumberger revitalized the brand Urban Jürgensen & Sønner, based in Bienne, Switzerland. The company produces small quantities of high quality watches, mostly wristwatches.
