Second edition. THE GOLDMAN COPY IS A FINE EXAMPLE WITH DECKLE EDGES. Willougby Bertie, fourth earl of Abingdon (1740-1799), was a parliamentarian and figure of significance on the London music scene, helping to organise the Bach-Abel concerts, and playing a part in bringing Haydn to England. According to DNB, he "had a fondness for seeing his words in print". Padwick 863 -3.
