10 volumes, 8° (172 x 107mm). Half-titles to volumes I-VIII and X. Engraved frontispiece and additional title in every volume. (Some spotting to engravings, A8 in vol. IV detached.) Original green cloth (lacking front free endpaper to vol. X), contained within three cloth slipcases. Provenance: William Wordsworth (half-titles of vols. I and II inscribed: 'Wm Wordsworth Rydal Mount'; his pencilled amendments to vol.I, p. 145; II, p. 257; VI, pp. 200 and p. 204., by descent to:) -- Rev. John Wordsworth (1802-1875, presentation inscription in vol. I to his wife:) -- Marian Wordsworth (inscription dated 17 August 1866).
