Lot Essay

Wright Barker was a member of the Royal Society of British Artists in Suffolk Street and also exhibited at the Royal Academy. He specialised in painting hunting and sporting subjects and later became a fine art dealer. Barker was based in Nottingham for most of his life but also lived in London for a time.
