Landscape after Wang Yuanqi (1642-1715)

Handscroll, ink and color on paper, 34.6 x 294cm. (13 5/8 x 115 3/4in.)

Inscribed: "In gengwu year (1943), a friend from Beijing brought a handscroll of a landscape by Wang Si Nong (Wang Yuanqi) for me to see. But, the handscroll was too expensive, so I did not buy it for my collection. The handscroll was immediately purchased by someone else. In the summer of xinwei year (1931), after some time and effort, I was able to obtain a copy of the handscroll and brought it back home."
Signed again: Qianan, dated a summer day of guiwei year (1943)
