A COPTIC TEXTILE FRAGMENTARY TUNIC
CIRCA 6TH-7TH CENTURY A.D.
With red ground, decorative neck band, sleeve bands, clavi and hem with sylized floral designs, 24 in. (61 cm.) high; and a group of Egyptian antiquities comprising three multi-strand Egyptian bead necklaces, two composed of five strands of mainly turquoise glazed compostion mummy beads, and another three strand necklace composed of tubular turquoise glazed composition beads, interspersed with spherical cornelian and disc-shaped shell beads, 28 in. (71 cm.) long max.; nine Roman and later glass bracelets, six of plain blue, two of blue with applied white dots, and one of green glass decorated with opaque yellow and green trails, 2½ in. (6.5 cm.) diam. max., circa 1st millennium A.D.; and four Egyptian terracotta shabtis, three with remains of painted details, including one with a single column of hieroglyphs, 6 in.
