A 54-BORE TRANTER'S PATENT FIVE-SHOT PERCUSSION DOUBLE-ACTION REVOLVER; A SIX SHOT PINFIRE SELF-COCKING POCKET REVOLVER; AND A WOODEN PRIMING-FLASK, TURKISH OR CAUCASIAN
The first lightly engraved with scrollwork, stamped 'W. Tranter's Patent' on both the frame and the rammer, and fitted with safety-catch, London proof marks (polished bright throughout, serial number rubbed, small patches of light rust); the second with blued fluted barrel-group, plain frame and folding trigger (grips replaced); and the flask with figured wooden body inlaid with brass nails and horn pellets enclosed by brass wire, and iron spring-closure (chemically cleaned).
