A DUTCH MILITARY BROADSWORD OF THE AMSTERDAM CITY GUARD CIRCA 1650-60 With double-edged blade stamped 'Sahagom' within the fuller on both sides at the forte, cut with running wolf mark on both sides, struck with Amsterdam city mark on one side below the hilt and with bladesmith's mark 'BC' crowned on the other, iron Walloon hilt including two sprung-in plates finely pierced with a pattern of stars and small circular holes, and the grip bound with wire and 'Turk's heads'. 36 7/8in (93.7cm) blade
