With flat blade changing to a flattened-diamond point and fitted with sprung side-prongs retained by a catch on the ricasso, iron hilt with strongly arched faceted quillons, the terminals seating the blade prongs, faceted ring-guard with pierced sprung-in plate, hexagonal pommel, and spirally moulded grip bound with wire and 'Turk's heads'
