    WITH INSCRIPTION HIZEN KUNI HASHIMOTO SHINZAEMON FUJIWARA TADAYOSHI, AND TENPO JUNEN HACHIGATSU HI [A DAY IN THE EIGHTH MONTH OF 1839], EDO-MEIJI PERIOD (19TH-20TH CENTURY)
    The katana of fine ko-itame almost mujihada in places, the hamon suguha with many ashi, the boshi yakitsume, of ko-nie, horimono of a kurikara on the omote and a banner on the ura, with double gilt copper habaki, mounted in a green and black-lacquered saya, tsuba and fuchigashira of shakudo migakiji with inlaid gilt aoi mon, menuki of sets of three gilt aoi mon
