With three-stage barrel with flared muzzle engraved with alternating panels of simple leaf ornament, moulded girdle, and ramped fluted breech, strongly bevelled lock signed along the lower edge, lightly engraved with stylised foliage and the cock incorporating a pierced disc behind the comb, three-quarter length stock engraved with wavy lines at both the borders and subsidiary edges, the butt decorated with a panel of leaf ornament en suite with the muzzle, an expanded flowerhead on one side and a thistle on the other, spirally incised iron button trigger and pricker, brass ramrod-pipe, and belt hook with shaped tapering finial (ramrod replaced).
