Oblong 4° (250 x 324mm), engraved title and 15 hand-finished lithographic plates after Duruy and Marc, plate 14 heightened with gum arabic (some light crease marks, a few spots at margins, plate 12 with short marginal tear), original red cloth, front cover lettered in gilt (faded, extremities rubbed).
A SCARCE SERIES OF HUMOROUS SKETCHES. In common with the Schwerdt copy, this copy has an article by the Marquis de Foudras extracted from Le Sport, 6 October 1858, pasted in. Whereas Schwerdt calls for 13 numbered plates, this copy contains 14, plus a bis plate 12 ("Un Fiasco Cynégétique 27 Décembre 1862"). Schwerdt I. p. 129.
