Green straight-grained morocco by Koehler, compartments of spine ruled in gilt, wide rococo border round sides enclosing later gilt supralibros, gilt turn-ins, gilt edges. Provenance: Charles Nodier's copy with his oval red morocco gilt bookplate -- anonymous armorial bookplate -- J.F.J. Charle de Tyberchamps (armorial bookplate at end) -- bought from Librería Roque Pidal, 1944. Third Spanish edition, translated by Fernan Suarez, forbidden by the Spanish Inquisition when first privately printed in 1548. Palau I, 16000, citing this copy.
