Richard STRAUSS. Autograph musical quotation, 8 BARS FROM ACT III OF DER ROSENKAVALIER, the beginning of the Marschallin's aria 'Habe mirs gelobt, ihn lieb zu haben in der richtigen Weis', in three systems, for voice and orchestra in short score, including the text and indication 'Marschallin', on a leaf 92 x 244mm, laid down; signed on facing page ('Richard Strauss'), Frankfurt[-am-Main], 21 August 1927, beneath a portrait postcard of the composer.

Provenance: many of the contributions are inscribed to Beatrice Oppenheim (née Salomon), and the album bears her ex-libris.
