Full page engraving of a presentation scene on title verso, woodcut arms & portrait medallion on title, woodcut initial. (Punch-hole through lower corner.) Contemporary brown morocco gilt, panelled with arms of Pope Pius V in centre of both covers and his heraldic symbols at corners, modern box (rubbed, corners lightly bumped). Provenance: Michele Ghisleri, Pope Pius V (1504-1572)-- Fabriano, Saint Catherine (early inscription) -- endorsed at end by Joannes de Avila -- Thore Virgin, 1930 (inscription) -- [Rolf Wistrand].
