Lyons: Anisson & Posuel, 1706. 8° (188 x 122mm). 2 engraved folding maps, engraved portrait on title and headpiece to each work (light browning, marginal stain in to leaves.) Contemporary Spanish red morocco gilt, arms of Philip V of Spain on sides, gilt spine and edges (rubbed, a little stained). Provenance: PHILIP V OF SPAIN (1701-46) -- Thore Virgin, 1915 (bookplate, inscription; Bibliotheca Quarnforsiana, 1947, no 226.).
SANTA CRUZ, Melchior de. Floresta Española de Apothegmas o sentencias. Toledo: Imprenta Real, 1657. 16° (130 x 68mm). Contemporary speckled calf, blindstamped shaped panels on sides, indistinct supralibros at center, gilt spine, marbled edges (lightly worn). Provenance: Thore Virgin, 1911 (bookplate and inscription).
