Red morocco, covers with gilt dog-tooth roll border, large gilt-dotted central panel with floral cornerpieces, spine in 6 compartments with a repeated floral gilt panel, gilt edges concealing a DOUBLE FORE-EDGE PAINTING OF "THE ANNUNCIATION" AFTER FRA ANGELICO and "PIETA" AFTER FRA FRANCIA, bound by H. H. Reffell with binders ticket on upper doublure; modern slipcase (joints and head and foot of spine lightly rubbed). Provenance: M. A.
