(Lacking three double-page plates: 24-25 'The West Front of Wansted in Essex' and 59-60 'The Elevation of Blenheim Castle towards the Gardens' in vol. I and 5-6 Aerial view of 'Castle Howard in Yorkshire' in vol. III; large tear to double-page pl. 16-19 in vol II with old repair to verso and without loss, remains of pressed plant opposite pl. 55 in vol. II with associated staining to plate, short marginal tear to double-page pl. 87-88 in vol. III without loss, light dampstaining, soiling and spotting throughout.) Contemporary calf, gilt spines (worn). Provenance: James Murray, 2nd Duke of Atholl (1690-1764, engraved armorial bookplate dated 1737).
