Volumes I & II only (of 4), 4° (250 x 195mm). Half titles, engraved vignette on titles, illustrations by Moles after Carmaron, Montana and A. Volume I and II of Capmany's principal work, a monograph on the history of his birthplace. In the first volume Capmany discusses Barcelona's seafaring, economy and art and industry. The second volume contains many documents relating to Barcelona's history. Volumes III and IV were not published until 1792, which means the work is not often found complete. Graesse II, 42; Brunet I, 1565.
