Small 2°, woodcut device on title, 38 woodcut illustrations (lacks initial and final blank, some light waterstaining, occasional ink spots, some leaves lightly spotted or browned), 19th-century half calf (rubbed).
Third edition of Richard Surflet's translation, first published in London in 1600 and again in 1606. Markham edited and greatly augmented the third edition "to make it a more reliable guide for those working in English conditions". Goldsmiths' 451; Kress 353; Poynter 31; STC 10549.
