4o (259 x 188 mm). Engraved title-page, initials, head- and tail-pieces vignette and 38 engraved plates (some gutters with minor damp-staining only affecting the image of the last plate). Contemporary half roan gilt (extremities rubbed).
Second edition, expanded from the first published in 1592, and to which is added Giovanni Bianchi's, (known as Jano Planco, anatomist) (1693-1775) "Vita Fabii et Lynceorum notittia adnotationesque in Phytobasanon." Nissen BBI 386; Pritzel 1822.
