Quarto (223 x 253 mm). Title vignette and 15 hand-coloured etchings by Leon Courbouleix. (Light marginal soiling.) FIRST EDITION of this fine example of a rare fetish: domestic bliss. One of 300 copies only, this one number 50. WorldCat locates just one copy, at the Bibliothèque nationale de France. The present copy, bound in what may be publisher’s vellum, appears to be a variant not recorded by Dutel: the title page and wrappers agree with his description of the first edition, but it is one of 295 on Arches with 36 leaves, instead of one of 285 on Arches with 33 leaves. Dutel 2251.
