MARIA ELISABETH (1634-1665), of Schleswig-Holstein-Gottorp, is being mourned by her husband LUDWIG VI (1630-1678), of Hessen-Darmstadt. Her funeral procession is commmemorated in this volume, with large engraved plates, including a double-page engraved allegorical title "memoria hasso cymbrica," her coat-of-arms, her portrait surrounded by four alegorical scenes, the procession and her coffin, followed by sermons and poems.
