2 volumes in one, 4o (295 x 225 mm). 2 engraved frontispieces, 18 engraved plates (one folding) (some offsetting, tear to folding plate, some light browning and spotting). Contemporary green straight-grain morocco, covers with gilt and ornamental border, spine in 6 compartments, one gilt-lettered, 5 with gilt ornamental tooling, edges gilt concealing a fore-edge painting of KEW BRIDGE ON THE RIVER THAMES (some light scuffing and staining, spine faded). Provenance: Patrick Hume, Earl of Marchmont (bookplate); J. J. Falconer (bookplate).
